Opuntia microdasys ‘Rufida’, also known as bunny ears cactus due to its rounded pads arranged in pairs, is one of the most decorative and popular varieties of opuntia. The Rufida cultivar stands out for its dense, copper-rust colored areoles, which create a spectacular contrast with the intense green of the pads.
It is a very hardy succulent plant, perfect both for collections and for modern, desert-style decor.

• Soil: very well drained, preferably mineral mix for cacti
• Temperature: prefers 18–30°C; can tolerate down to approx. 0°C only in dry soil and protected conditions
• Humidity: low; avoid high humidity
• Fertilization: occasional, in the warm season, with cactus fertilizer
