Arabella Clematis features blue-violet flowers with a pinkish shade in the center when they first open. Whether facing south and exposed to the sun or grown in the shade of a tree, it always blooms and offers the longest flowering period among all clematis. It blooms frequently from spring until late autumn.

It is also an ideal clematis for floristry – cut flowers, as the blooms have very good durability.

This variety reaches a final height of about 1.5-2 meters.

Classification: Clematis diversifolia, long-lasting summer bloom, free flowering

Awards won: RHS Award of Garden Merit

Growing recommendations for Clematis diversifolia:

These herbaceous varieties usually form compact or semi-climbing bushes. Generally, they have stems that do not cling and can be allowed to spread in herbaceous borders. Alternatively, they can be used to climb through open shrubs, small trees, climbing roses and bushes, or on obelisks.

They are all hardy, very floriferous, trouble-free, and suitable for use as cut flowers, warmly recommended by all collectors.

During the cold season, the plants appear as leafless sticks that seem dry – this appearance is perfectly normal and the plants are as healthy as can be.
