Full description and specifications
Stephania Erecta is an exotic and attractive plant, with an interesting caudex and round leaves. Although it seems delicate, it is relatively easy to take care of if you give it the right conditions.
Stephania erecta care:
- Light: Prefer bright places, but avoid direct sunlight during the most intense periods.
- Temperature : The ideal is between 18 and 25°C during the growing season. In winter, it can tolerate lower temperatures, but not below 10°C.
- Humidity : It appreciates moderate humidity. Spraying the leaves occasionally can be beneficial.
- Soil: Use a well-drained substrate, suitable for cacti and succulents.
- Watering: During the growing season, water moderately, letting the soil dry between waterings. Significantly reduces watering during the winter, when the plant enters the rest period.
- Fertilization : Administer a diluted fertilizer for succulents during the growing season, approximately once a month. Avoid fertilizing in winter.
- Rest Period : In late autumn, Stephania Erecta begins to lose its leaves and enters the rest period. During this period, significantly reduce watering and move the plant to a cooler place.
- Replanting : Replant in the spring, at the beginning of the growing season, only if the pot has become too small. Choose a pot a little bigger than the previous one.
Common Problems
- Root rot: Caused by excessive watering. Make sure the soil dries well between waterings.
- Yellow leaves : May indicate a lack of nutrients or insufficient watering. Check the fertilization and watering regime.
