Phalaenopsis Mini Mark is a multispecific hybrid created by Breckinridge in 1992 from Phalaenopsis philippinensis (50%), P. maculata (25%), and P. lobbii (25%), through the hybrid Micro Nova. It is prized for its small to medium-sized white flowers, with orange freckles and an orange-caramel labellum. The leaves are usually 10–15 cm long. It can produce several flower spikes and may bloom in multiple seasons, most often from autumn to spring. The flowers often last at least 3 months.

It is adaptable to a range of light conditions: bright filtered light or partial shade. It grows well on a windowsill; on a south- or west-facing windowsill, protect the plant from strong summer sun. Typical indoor temperatures are suitable, approximately 18–30°C, with nights slightly cooler than the daytime. Humidity of 50–70% helps the buds develop; below these levels, growth and flower spikes may stall, and buds may drop, especially above 25°C if the air is dry.

Water when the substrate has dried out thoroughly, not just on the surface, then let the water drain completely. Do not leave the pot standing in water. During active growth, fertilize every one to two weeks with a diluted orchid fertilizer after watering. It does not need a special rest period to bloom.

It grows well in a pot or mounted on a slab. In a pot, use bark with a little sphagnum or a similar airy mix. A Phalaenopsis substrate is suitable if it dries out at the right pace for your home. Repot every 2–3 years, after flowering, when new roots appear—not during the peak budding season. Compacted substrate suffocates the roots and leads to limp leaves and weak flower spikes.

If the plant does not bloom, check the light, the plant’s age, and the condition of the roots. Falling buds often indicate dry air, a sudden change of location, or irregular watering. Soft roots and a sour smell indicate overwatering.
