Hoya finlaysonii - a rare species native to Penang, Malaysia. The plant is highly sought after and appreciated for its spectacular foliage - large, thick leaves with prominent venation and splashes manage to impress any collector. The flowers are spectacular, with a cinnamon scent and a lifespan of 3-4 days.
Hoya finlaysonii is considered easy to grow when provided with appropriate warmth and humidity. Flowering can occur several times throughout the year, but the plant tends to drop its buds when the microclimate is unstable - temperature differences, drafts, or air that is too dry. Most often, after a failed flowering, the old peduncles produce new buds.
