Gymnocalycium damsii

Gymnocalycium damsii (anisitsii) is a species of globular cactus, native to the arid regions of Argentina and Bolivia. It is valued for its compact and perfectly symmetrical shape, with short and fine spines, in shades from off-white to light brown – a pleasant contrast with the deep green of the body.

In spring and summer, this cactus can produce delicate flowers in pale pink or pink-lilac shades, which open at the top of the plant, adding an elegant and subtle touch.

Gymnocalycium damsii prefers well-drained soil and a bright location, with a few hours of direct sunlight. It is drought-resistant and easy to care for, ideal for beginners or for collections of cacti and fleshy plants.
