Full description and specifications

Bulbophyllum odoratissimum - botanical species that grows in Assam, the eastern Himalayas, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, as well as in the Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Sichuan, Xizing and Yunnan provinces of China. This plant is found in perennial forests at low altitudes and in primary mountain forests, at heights between 800 and 2500 meters. It is a miniature species that grows well in warm to moderate conditions, either as an epiphyte on trees or as a lithophyte on moss-covered rocks. The plant shows subcylindrical, spreading pseudobulbs, which bear a single oblong-lanceolate apical leaf. It blooms most frequently in spring and summer on a basal inflorescence, thin, with a length of about 7.5 cm, which has bracts and an apical bouquet of 10 to 20 flowers with a pleasant fragrance, positioned at the middle height of the leaf .

For the best growth, it is recommended that this species be planted in baskets or pots with an open environment, be exposed to partial shade, at high temperatures, and benefit from regular watering and fertilization.
