Haworthia cymbiformis
Haworthia Cymbiformis is a species of succulent plant from the genus Haworthia, appreciated for its compact appearance and translucent leaves.
Main characteristics:
• Appearance: Forms dense rosettes, usually 6-10 cm in diameter. The leaves are thick, fleshy, and have a boat-like shape (hence the name cymbiformis).
• Color: Light green, sometimes with translucent shades towards the tip, which helps filter light for photosynthesis.
• Growth: The plant grows slowly and produces lateral shoots that can form dense colonies.
• Flowers: Blooms in spring or summer, producing small, tubular, whitish flowers with green stripes, arranged on a thin stem.
Care conditions:
• Light: Preferably strong indirect light, but also tolerates partial shade.
• Watering: Moderate – allow the soil to dry completely between waterings. It is sensitive to excess water.
• Soil: A well-drained mix, specific for cacti and succulents.
• Temperature: Tolerates heat well, but does not withstand temperatures below 5°C for long periods.
• Propagation: It can be easily propagated by separating the pups that grow at the base of the mother plant.
It is an ideal plant for apartments, easy to maintain and perfect for succulent collections.
