Full description and specifications

Sansevieria Inti , also known as Snake Plant , is a special variety of the Sansevieria genus, appreciated for its upright, rigid leaves and decorative patterns. It is a hardy and easy-to-care-for plant, ideal for indoor spaces, including offices or homes. In addition to its aesthetic appearance, this plant also has air-purifying properties, being recommended by NASA for the elimination of toxins.

Care

1. Light

Sansevieria Inti prefers bright indirect light, but it also adapts well to low light conditions. It can be placed almost anywhere, from sunny areas to darker corners. Prolonged direct exposure to intense sunlight can cause leaf burns.

2. Watering

• Frequency: Water the plant moderately, letting the soil dry completely between waterings. Generally, watering every 2-4 weeks is sufficient, depending on the temperature and humidity in the room.

Cold season : During winter, reduce watering to a minimum (about once a month).

Watering Problems : Excessive watering can lead to root rot, the most common problem for Sansevieria.

3. Soil

Tip : Use a well-drained soil specifically for cacti and succulents. A mix of all-purpose soil with perlite or sand is ideal.

Drainage : Make sure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.

4. Temperature

Optimum : Sansevieria Inti prefers temperatures between 18-30°C.

Resistance : Tolerates lower temperatures, down to approximately 10°C, but must be protected from frost.

5. Humidity

Tolerance : This plant prefers dry air, making it ideal for homes or offices with low humidity.

Spraying : It is not necessary to spray the leaves, but wiping them occasionally with a damp cloth helps maintain a clean appearance.

6. Fertilization

Active season : Fertilize the plant once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) using a fertilizer for indoor plants, diluted to half the recommended concentration.

Repas : During the winter, fertilization is not necessary.

7. Replanting

Repot the plant every 2-3 years or when the roots completely fill the pot. Repotting is preferably done in spring.
