Tradescantia pallida ‘Purpurea’ – commonly known as “Apartment Violet”, “Creeping Violet” or “Purple Heart”, is a succulent plant, decorative for its leaves, valued for its vibrant violet-purple color and its ability to quickly form a dense and striking green carpet.

It originates from eastern Mexico and is grown both as a houseplant and outdoors in mild climates or as an annual decorative plant. The long, lance-shaped leaves have a slight metallic sheen, and the flowers are small, pale pink and delicate, appearing at the tips of the stems, but the main attraction remains the intensely colored foliage.
