Pachypodium saundersii (Pachypodium lealii ssp. saundersii) is a succulent plant native to South Africa and Swaziland, also known as the "Little Baobab" due to its resemblance to the baobab, albeit on a much smaller scale. This plant is part of the Apocynaceae family and is known for its spectacular caudex, which can store water to survive in arid conditions.

The trunk has a globular or cylindrical shape and is covered with thorns. The leaves are long, narrow and grow at the top of the branches. Pachypodium saundersii produces white or pink, trumpet-shaped flowers that usually appear in autumn or early winter.

This plant is very resistant and can survive in harsh conditions, but it requires a lot of light and well-drained soil.
