Kalanchoe Eriophylla (Snow White Panda Plant)
€3,95
Kalanchoe eriophylla is a perennial succulent plant native to Madagascar, valued for its leaves covered with fine hairs, giving it a velvety appearance. The name “eriophylla” comes from Greek and means “woolly leaves,” which perfectly describes the soft texture of its foliage.
This plant remains relatively compact, growing to about 10-15 cm in height and width.
Kalanchoe eriophylla produces small, tubular flowers in pink or white, which appear in clusters at the ends of the stems. The flowers usually bloom in spring or early summer and are delicate, adding a beautiful contrast to the fuzzy leaves.
Care:
Light: Kalanchoe eriophylla prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate direct sunlight in the morning hours but must be protected from the strong midday sun, which can cause burns on the delicate leaves.
Soil: The plant requires well-drained soil, specific for succulents. A mix of cactus soil combined with perlite or coarse sand is ideal to ensure efficient drainage.
Watering: Watering should be moderate. Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings to prevent root rot. During winter, reduce watering significantly, as the plant enters a resting period.
Temperature: It prefers moderate temperatures between 18-24°C. The plant does not tolerate severe cold and must be protected from frost, making it ideal for indoor cultivation or sheltered places during winter.
Fertilizing: Fertilize the plant once every 4-6 weeks during the active growth period (spring and summer) with a fertilizer for succulents, diluted according to the instructions.
Height with pot included approx. 8 cm
The plant is sold without flowers. The displayed price is for 1 pot.
