Hoya sp. Aceh (super splash) is a label for an unpublished Hoya associated with Aceh Province in northern Sumatra. Super splash indicates a dense silver pattern on white or cream foliage. In this batch, the leaves are oval-elliptical, firm, with raised veins and irregular silver splashes. The intensity of the splash varies from one leaf to another. Flowering depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions.

Foliage and growth. The foliage is thick, glossy, oval to elliptical, with a prominent midrib and clearly visible lateral veins. Splash refers to the silver pattern on the leaves. The distribution of the spots is not identical on all leaves. The growth habit is climbing or trailing. Do not confuse this label with Hoya clemensiorum, an accepted species from Borneo, sometimes incorrectly sold under the name Aceh.
