Hoya carnosa 'Mathilde' is the compact horticultural hybrid resulting from the cross between Hoya carnosa and Hoya serpens. This batch bears the Splash label: its small, rounded, firm foliage has denser silver splashes than the usual form of the cultivar. The same pot may contain vines with intense variegation and vines with more subtle splash. Its growth habit is trailing or climbing. Under good growing conditions, it produces umbels of small, white to pink, finely pubescent flowers with a sweet fragrance.
