Euphorbia decaryi
€9,95
Euphorbia decaryi is a small-sized succulent plant, native to the southeast of Madagascar. It features swollen roots and upright or creeping stems, adorned with fleshy leaves arranged in rosettes at the tips of the stems.
The plant can reach a height of about 15 cm and spreads through rhizomes. Under strong sunlight, the green leaves take on a beautiful shade of coppery bronze. The leaves are very wavy, folded, and have prominent veins.
The unusual bell-shaped flowers vary in color from yellow and yellow-green to reddish and appear during the summer.
The scientific name "decaryi" is given in honor of Raymond Decary (1891-1973), a well-known French botanist and ethnologist.
