Echinofossulocactus phyllacanthus, also known as Stenocactus phyllacanthus, is a distinctive cactus due to its rounded shape and deep, wavy ridges that cover its body. Native to Mexico, this cactus is known for its multiple crests, which can create a visual effect similar to a "brain" or water waves.

Adult plants can develop up to 18 ribs, each covered with a series of small white or gray spines. The average height of an Echinofossulocactus phyllacanthus ranges between 7 and 15 cm, and the diameter can reach up to 10 cm.

During the flowering period, usually in spring, this cactus produces pale pink or white flowers that grow from the top of the plants. These flowers are quite small but are considered attractive.

Like most cacti, Echinofossulocactus phyllacanthus needs sunlight and well-drained soil. It is drought-tolerant but should be watered regularly during the growing season. In winter, it requires a dormant period with minimal watering.

Height with pot included approx. 12 cm
