Insecticide BENEVIA – General Description

Mode of action:

Benevia contains the active substance cyazypyr, which acts on the muscular system of insects, causing paralysis and ultimately their death. The substance rapidly depletes calcium reserves in muscle cells, generating continuous and irreversible muscle contractions. Insects stop feeding immediately after contact or ingestion.

Within the plant, Benevia moves translaminarly and systemically, circulating mainly acropetally (upwards) and, to a lesser extent, basipetally (downwards). The product acts both by contact and ingestion, and maximum effectiveness is reached 3–6 days after application, when pests are completely eliminated.

Usage instructions:

Early application is recommended at the first signs of attack. Benevia effectively controls pests at all development stages and has a low impact on beneficial insects. Early treatment prevents rapid pest multiplication and reduces stress on the crop.

Using the product in the early growth stages protects seedlings – the most vulnerable to pests and disease transmission – and contributes to healthy and vigorous plant development, thus maximizing productive potential.

Recommendation for pollinator protection:

To protect bees and other beneficial insects, apply in the evening after the flight period ends. Pollinator shelters should be closed before treatment and reopened the following morning.
