Lepismium cruciforme is an epiphytic plant from the cactus family, native to the tropical regions of South America, especially the forests of Brazil. Unlike most cacti, it does not have a globular or cylindrical shape, but grows like a vine, with long, flat branches that can reach lengths of up to 1 meter or more.

Its stems, which can range from light green to burgundy, are flat and thin, with a distinct cross-shaped form in cross-section.

The flowers of Lepismium cruciforme are small, white or pale pink, and appear along the stems. Blooming usually occurs during the summer but can continue at other times of the year.

As an epiphytic plant, Lepismium cruciforme adapts well to high humidity and indirect light, making it a popular choice for indoor growing. However, it can also withstand drier conditions as long as it is provided with well-drained soil. It is a hardy plant but, unlike many cacti, it is not very resistant to cold.

The plant is sold without flowers.
