This is a Brassavola mix (Lady of the Night), consisting of mature and developed plants, without individual IDs. The plants are in the flowering stage, already having 1-2 buds formed at the time of listing.

The Brassavola genus is especially appreciated for the strong and sweet fragrance of its flowers, which is intensely noticeable in the evening and at night (hence the popular name "Lady of the Night"). The flowers are usually white or greenish-white, star-shaped, with a waxy texture and a good lifespan. Many species and hybrids in this genus have terete leaves (thin, cylindrical, pencil-like), although some have broader leaves.

Main features:

  • Mature and developed plants (not seedlings)
  • With 1-2 buds at the time of delivery
  • White / greenish-white flowers, fragrant at night
  • Elegant and refined appearance
  • Moderate to vigorous growth
  • Suitable both for collectors and for those who want fragrant orchids

Simple care:

  • Light: bright light (similar to Cattleya). Also tolerates filtered morning sun.
  • Temperature: intermediate (day 22–28°C, night 16–20°C).
  • Watering: moderate. Allow the substrate to dry well between waterings. Prefers less frequent watering than Phalaenopsis.
  • Humidity: medium to high, with very good ventilation.
  • Substrate: coarse bark or mounted on cork/fern.

Recommended substrate: For Brassavola, an airy substrate with excellent drainage is recommended. → Professional substrate for Cattleya & Brassavola orchids – Secret Garden

Important notes:

  • Being a mix, the plants may be different species (Brassavola nodosa, cucullata, glauca, etc.) or simple hybrids.
  • The fragrance is one of the main attractions of this genus and usually appears shortly after the flowers open.
  • The plants are healthy and vigorous, but as epiphytic orchids, they need good light and ventilation conditions to flower consistently.

An excellent mix for those who want orchids with a strong nocturnal fragrance, an elegant appearance, and who appreciate mature plants ready to bloom.

Important notes:
The plants in this mix do not have individual identification, so they cannot be distinguished with certainty without open flowers. Brassavola is an orchid sensitive to environmental changes, and buds and flowers may be lost between the listing and delivery, or even during transport, due to temperature variations. The flowers of this genus are thermosensitive. The presence of buds at listing confirms the plant’s maturity, and the price is valid whether the plant arrives with flowers or not. Price valid for one (1) potted plant.
