Hoya memoria D14 - XL specimens

Hoya memoria Kloppenb. is a botanical species, published in 2004 and native to the Philippines. The name memoria refers to Memorial Garden in Manila, the place associated with the plant from which the species was described. A plant appreciated for its natural beauty. Its leaves and flowers make it easy to fall in love with.

Foliage and growth habit. The plant produces thin, flexible stems with a predominantly trailing growth habit. The leaves are narrow and elliptical, with pointed tips and a slightly succulent texture. Their green surface is covered with irregularly distributed silver splash markings. This splash is a natural characteristic of the leaf, not variegation, and its intensity and distribution vary from one leaf to another and from one specimen to another. Young leaves may temporarily display reddish or bronze tones, which fade as they mature.

With its trailing habit, Hoya memoria is especially well suited to a hanging pot. The stems do not twine around supports as firmly as those of other Hoya species; if the plant is grown on a support, the vines need to be guided and secured.

Flowers and fragrance. The inflorescences usually consist of 15–25 small flowers grouped in umbels. The corolla is pink to reddish pink, with reflexed, finely fuzzy lobes, while the corona is red, with a yellow center and yellow accents. The flowers produce a sweet, intense fragrance, often described as caramel-like, release little nectar, and can last for up to approximately one week.

A mature plant can flower repeatedly and abundantly under favorable conditions.

XL specimens. These are XL plants, grown and selected for their lush appearance, trailing habit, and long vines. Vine length varies depending on the season and batch, and long stems may have mechanical damage or leaves with imperfections. Each pot contains several plants at different stages of development, so foliage density, length, and distribution naturally vary between specimens.
