Hoya lacunosa sold as sp. Bruno (variegated) is a cultivar with true inner variegation. The leaves are small, compact, and slightly curved at the edges, with cream, white, or pink areas on a green background. The distribution of the variegation varies from leaf to leaf. The growth habit is delicate and slightly trailing. 'Bruno' is also circulated as Tricolor Bruno; it is not a taxon. The flowers of the lacunosa group are small, creamy white, and fragrant, becoming more noticeable in the evening.

Foliage and growth. The variegation is internal, on the leaf blade, not splash variegation and not the albomarginated type 'Asami'. The light-colored areas may be cream, white, yellow, or pink against a green background. The leaf blades are small and fairly uniform in size, with edges that curl slightly inward. The intensity and pattern are not identical on every shoot.

Flowers and fragrance. The flowers are star-shaped, creamy white or vanilla-colored, and grouped in small umbels. The fragrance is characteristic of the lacunosa group and is perceived mainly in the evening. Its intensity may vary. Flowering depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions.

Identity. The accepted botanical name of the species is Hoya lacunosa Blume, published in 1827. Its native range extends from southern Myanmar to western and central Malesia. 'Bruno' / sp. Bruno is the label for this variegated selection.

The ceramic pot is not included in the price. In the case of Hoya specimens, the level of development is influenced by the season.

Substrate: use an airy, well-draining mix suitable for epiphytic species. We recommend the professional substrate for Hoya and Anthurium - SG Mix.
