Clematis montana 'Marjorie' is a vigorous and exceptionally beautiful variety from the Montana group, appreciated for its delicate semi-double pink flowers and abundant blooming.
It is a fast-growing deciduous climber that can reach 6-8 m in height. The leaves are trifoliate, green, with bronze-reddish shades when young. The flowers appear in May-June (sometimes later than other Montana varieties), are large (6-8 cm), star-shaped, semi-double, pale pink-cream that becomes a more intense pink towards the center, with inner petals darker in color (pink-salmon or pink-purple). They have a light, sweet, and pleasant fragrance.
