Sulcorebutia rauschii , also known as Purple Cactus , is a spectacular collector's cactus, recognized for its globular shape and unusual color of the epidermis - intense shades of purple, crimson or burgundy, which can vary depending on the light and temperature. Each tuber has fine spines, almost glued to the body, and during the flowering period it produces brightly colored flowers, usually deep pink or purple.

This species is native to the mountainous areas of Bolivia and is ideal for lovers of rare succulent plants or for minimalist urban decor, in small pots or xeric arrangements.
