Cacti are succulent plants originating mainly from the arid regions of the Americas, known for their exceptional ability to store water and their varied, sculptural forms, which make them suitable for both collections and modern indoor or outdoor décor.

🌿 General characteristics:

• Family: Cactaceae
• Foliage: replaced by spines (an adaptation to arid climates); the thick stems retain water and serve as photosynthetic organs
• Flowers: spectacular and intensely colored – they may be white, yellow, pink, red, or orange, depending on the species
• Growth: slow to moderate; they may be miniature or imposing, depending on the variety

☀️ Growing conditions:

• Light: prefer full sun or bright, filtered light
• Soil: very well-drained – special substrate for cacti and succulents
• Watering: infrequent – only after the substrate has dried completely; during the cold season, watering should be reduced significantly
• Temperature: ideally between 20–28°C; many species tolerate temperatures as low as 10°C
• Fertilization: light, during the warm season, with fertilizer for succulents
