Sarcococca confusa (also known as Sweet Box or Christmas Box) is a compact evergreen shrub highly valued for its extremely fragrant flowers that bloom in the middle of winter.

The plant grows slowly, forming dense, rounded bushes 1–1.5 m tall and wide. The leaves are ovate, glossy, and a deep intense green. The flowers are small, creamy white, with a strong, sweet fragrance (reminiscent of vanilla and honey), noticeable from a distance even on cold winter days (December–February). After flowering, shiny black decorative fruits appear.
