Tillandsia cyanea 'Anita'

Tillandsia cyanea is an epiphytic plant from the Bromeliaceae family, known for its exotic appearance. It has long, thin, and curved leaves that form a rosette, and produces a distinct spike-shaped inflorescence, pink in color that can vary to shades of red, which turns green when the plant does not receive enough light. 

From each bract of the inflorescence, small flowers of an intense blue-violet color appear, from which the name "cyanea" originates. The plant prefers indirect light, high humidity, and does not necessarily require soil, being epiphytic at the base and thus capable of absorbing water and nutrients from the air.

It is one of the most popular varieties of tillandsia due to its beauty given by unusual, intense, and strongly contrasting colors.
