Philodendron grandipes

Philodendron grandipes is a tropical plant belonging to the Araceae family, native to tropical forest areas. It is known for its large, attractive leaves, which can add an exotic touch to interior decor.

Philodendron grandipes has dark green, glossy leaves that are large and often heart-shaped or oval, with pointed tips. The leaves are supported by long, thick stalks, which can reach considerable lengths. These leaves can grow quite large, sometimes up to 60 cm in length.

Care: Philodendron grandipes requires the following conditions to thrive:

• Light: Prefers indirect light. Direct sunlight can cause leaf burns, so it is ideal to place it where light is filtered through curtains or blinds.
• Watering: The soil should be kept moist but not overly wet. It is important to allow the top layer of soil to dry out between waterings to avoid root rot.
• Temperature: Does well at typical indoor temperatures, between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius, and prefers high humidity. If the indoor air is dry, occasional misting of the leaves can be helpful.
• Soil: A well-draining mix for tropical plants is ideal, which can include peat, perlite, and vermiculite.

The plants may show mechanical defects/scars on the leaves. Specimens with 3-4 leaves.
