Philodendron atabapoense - a botanical species endemic to Venezuela, Amazon jungle. The plant stands out through its impressive foliage - the leaves are narrow and long, with a unique green-silver appearance, glossy, reaching up to 70 cm in length.

Growth style: Climbing plant. In nature, it attaches to tree trunks - it tends to develop strong aerial roots.

This variety has nectar-producing glands on the back of the leaves. The nectar serves to attract ants in search of food - thus, the plant gains chemical substances secreted by them, but also benefits from the aggressive way ant colonies defend their territory and food source, protecting the philodendron from other harmful insects.
Specimens in stock may also show leaves with marks/scars/defects on the leaves.

The decorative pot is not included in the price.

Height with pot included: approx. 20 cm
