The Japanese rose, known as Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, is a shrub-type plant that blooms profusely from spring to summer.

This variety is for indoors.

Here are some tips for proper care of this plant:

  1. Light : Hibiscus sinensis loves sunlight, so it is ideal to place it in a place where it can receive direct sunlight for at least a few hours a day. If kept indoors, choose a well-lit windowsill.

  2. Watering : This plant requires regular and consistent watering. The soil should be kept moist, but not soggy. Make sure the soil has good drainage to avoid waterlogging.

  3. Temperature and Humidity : Hibiscus sinensis prefers warm temperatures and relatively high humidity. If the air in your home is dry, you can use a humidifier or place bowls of water near the plant to increase humidity.

  4. Fertilization : Fertilize your hibiscus once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced fertilizer rich in potassium.

  5. Picking and pruning : Regular pruning helps maintain the plant's shape and encourages new flower growth. You can pinch off the tops of the plants to encourage branching.

  6. Pest and disease protection : Watch for signs of pests such as aphids or mites. Also, avoid overwatering which can encourage fungal diseases.
