Clematis s veľkými kvetmi - Clematis 'Wada's Primrose' (Neskorá skupina s veľkými kvetmi)

Clematis 'Wada's Primrose', also known as Clematis patens 'Manshuu Ki'. When they first open, the beautiful primrose-yellow flowers have slightly deeper stripes in the center, which fade as the flowers mature, becoming pale cream. Their elegant crown of yellow stamens adds a sublime charm. The flowers have an average size of about 15 cm.

Growing recommendations:

This type of clematis prefers good quality soil, rich in nutrients, moist but well-drained. It is recommended to improve the soil with manure or compost at planting, if possible. In the case of cultivation in drier soils that tend to dry out quickly, cover the base with a layer of shredded bark (or another type of mulch) to retain soil moisture.

Clematis generally prefer a growing space with good sun exposure.

It is not necessary to remove the withered flowers of these clematis, but if they seem to have finished blooming earlier than expected, a light pruning can encourage new growth and a second flowering late in autumn.

In the cold season, the plants appear as leafless sticks that seem dry – this is perfectly normal and the plants are fully viable.
