Senecio stapeliiformis (Kleinia stapeliiformis) is a rare succulent plant, native to South Africa. Senecio stapeliiformis belongs to the Senecio family, one of the largest plant families. The genus includes about 1200 plants.

Care for Senecio Stapeliiformis

Light: Prefers strong indirect light or filtered sun. It can tolerate direct morning sun but must be protected from intense midday light.

Soil: Needs well-drained soil, ideal for cacti and succulents, to prevent excess water accumulation.

Watering: Water the plant only when the soil is completely dry. Avoid overwatering, as it can lead to root rot.

Temperature: Thrives best at temperatures between 15°C and 25°C. Does not tolerate frost; the minimum acceptable temperature is about 10°C.

Humidity: Prefers low to moderate humidity; excess moisture in the air can cause fungal problems.

Fertilizing: Use a diluted fertilizer for cacti and succulents once a month during the growing season (spring and summer).

Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years or when the plant outgrows its pot, using fresh substrate and a pot with good drainage.

Propagation: Propagated by stem cuttings, which should be left to dry for a few days before planting in dry soil.

Height with pot included approx. 20-25 cm
