Trichocentrum stacyi (Oncidium stacyi) or Stacy's Oncidium.

Discovered in the tropical rain regions of Bolivia and Peru, this medium-sized epiphytic plant grows in the upper canopy of the forest, at altitudes of about 450 meters. It has ovoid-cylindrical pseudobulbs, covered by several pairs of small, dry, overlapping bracts. Each pseudobulb bears a single apical, hanging leaf, with a cylindrical shape and a sharp tip. The leaf is stiff, leathery, and slightly curved. In spring, the plant develops a racemose flower cluster about 20 cm long, which ranges from upright to curved and is characterized by 5-6 small lance-shaped bracts. The flower cluster emerges from a mature pseudobulb and features between 14 and 20 striking flowers, each having an elongated-ovoid, concave floral bract with a long, sharp tip, which is laterally compressed and triangular in shape.
Flower size: approx. 3-4 cm

Fragrant flowers: YES
