Phalaenopsis Orchid Substrate - SECRET GARDEN MIX

Professional substrate specially designed for cultivating orchids with thick, aerial, and vigorous roots, such as Phalaenopsis, Vanda, Doritaenopsis, Doritis, Neofinetia, Sederia, as well as other species with similar requirements. The formula is adapted to ensure very good drainage, excellent root aeration, and an optimal balance between moisture and oxygenation.

The coarse granulation prevents compaction over time and significantly reduces the risk of water excess, making it ideal for orchids sensitive to moisture stagnation. The substrate supports healthy root system development and promotes regular flowering in the long term.

This mix is also suitable for other epiphytic orchids or plants with aerial roots that require a stable, aerated substrate with strong drainage, different from universal mixes.

Composition

• High-quality pine bark, large granulation (15–30 mm), for maximum aeration
• Pine bark, medium granulation (5–12 mm), for stability and controlled drainage
• Sphagnum moss, to maintain balanced moisture around the roots.

Usage recommendations

• For optimal results, we recommend pots with very good drainage and side ventilation
