Monstera 'Thai Constellation' D6
Monstera 'Thai Constellation' is a cultivar of the Monstera deliciosa species, belonging to the Araceae family. This cultivar shows a sectoral variegation, in variable shades of white-cream-yellow and green distributed irregularly on the surface of the leaves, which results from a genetic mutation.
The mature leaves of this plant have fenestrations (and/or perforations) and are cordiform in shape, with entire or lobed edges. Monstera deliciosa 'Thai Constellation' is a large epiphytic liana, which means that it grows naturally on other plants without being a parasite and obtains support by wrapping itself around the host.
Monstera deliciosa 'Thai Constellation' requires indirect light, moderate to intense, a substrate with adequate drainage properties and irrigation when the first centimeters of the substrate have dried. In response to the natural tendency of the plant to climb, it is recommended to use a support or mosstok of generous dimensions to facilitate the growth of the plant in height.
Humidity . Considering the origin of the basic species (tropical jungle), the plant thrives in conditions of high atmospheric humidity. However, it can be acclimatized relatively easily in the range of 40-60%, the upper version being preferred. During the acclimatization periods, it is recommended to spray the leaves frequently at the beginning, to avoid the appearance of black spots. Sprays can be reduced gradually.
