Full description and specifications

Huernia macrocarpa is a succulent plant native to East Africa, being part of the Apocynaceae family. It is known for its unusual shapes and for its beautiful flowers.

This plant has cylindrical, dark green stems that branch and spread over the ground, forming a dense carpet. The stems are segmented, with sides between 4 and 5 cm, and are covered with small and sharp teeth.

The flowers are the most impressive aspect of Huernia macrocarpa. They are large, red, brown or black, with a yellow or white center. The flowers have an unusual shape, with five deep lobes and an aged texture.

Like other succulents, Huernia macrocarpa requires well-drained soil and exposure to sun or partial shade. It is resistant to drought, but must be protected from cold and excessive humidity.

Despite its unpleasant smell, Huernia macrocarpa is a fascinating plant, appreciated for its unique beauty and for its adaptability to difficult environmental conditions.
