Rebutia krainziana is a miniature cactus, native to Bolivia, highly prized by collectors for its abundant and spectacular flowering. The plant has a small, globular, dark green body, covered with tubercles and fine, white spines. In spring and summer, it is covered with large, scarlet-red flowers , which contrast strongly with the small size of the plant, creating a stunning effect.

🌞 Growing conditions:

  • Light: Prefers lots of light and a few hours of direct sun daily; in very hot summers, light shading at noon is recommended

  • Soil: Very well drained, sandy-stony, special mix for cacti

  • Watering: Reduced; the substrate should be allowed to dry completely between waterings

  • Wintering: Cold period, at 5–10°C, dry, stimulates abundant flowering in the following season

  • Hardiness: Withstands temperatures down to approx. –5°C if completely dry, but in Romania requires protected wintering
