Pilea peperomioides 'Mojito’ - planta cu aspect exotic si frunzis variegat
Pilea peperomioides 'Mojito' is a rare and highly prized variety of the popular "Chinese Pilea" or "money plant". It is distinguished by its spectacular and unique foliage.
Main features:
• Leaves: Round, glossy, with an irregular variegated pattern in shades of light green, dark green and white or yellowish spots. Each leaf is different, giving a "splatter" or "painting" effect specific to the 'Mojito' variety.
• Growth: the plant has a compact and erect habit when young, then takes on a fuller and slightly arched appearance as it grows.
• Dimensions: can reach 20-40 cm in height and width in ideal conditions.
• Light: Prefers bright indirect light. Direct exposure to strong sunlight can cause leaf burns.
• Watering: The substrate should be allowed to dry out partially between waterings. It is sensitive to excess water, so good drainage is essential.
• Temperature: average. Does not tolerate temperatures below 10°C .
• Humidity: Tolerates normal indoor humidity, but prefers slightly more humid environments.
• Soil: light and well-drained mixture, such as a substrate for tropical plants with the addition of perlite or sand.
Additional care:
• Rotate the pot periodically for symmetrical growth, as the plant tends to orient itself towards the light.
• Remove yellow or damaged leaves to stimulate healthy growth.
• Pilea 'Mojito' produces "chicks" (side plants) that you can separate and replant.
Height with pot included approx. 20 cm
Note: Specimens may also have defective leaves.
