Full description and specifications

Philodendron pastazanum - endemic terrestrial botanical species from Ecuador, from a locality called Pastaza, where it was discovered and collected for the first time in 1970.
It is a remarkable plant, with spectacular foliage - the glossy leaves show visible venation and color variations that give an appearance of stripes.

Philodendron pastazanum care:

  • Light : Prefer indirect, filtered light. Direct sunlight can burn the leaves.
  • Watering : The soil should be kept slightly moist. It is crucial to allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings to prevent root rot.
  • Humidity : Thrives in an environment with high humidity. Humidifiers or frequent sprays can help maintain adequate humidity, essential for leaf health.
  • Temperature : Prefers warm temperatures, between 18 and 26 degrees Celsius. It is sensitive to low temperatures and cold currents.
  • Soil : It needs a well-draining substrate, rich in organic matter. A tropical plant mix that includes peat, perlite and organic compost is ideal for this plant.

Height with pots included: approx. 50-60 cm
Pot diameter: 15 cm

The plants show mechanical defects/scars on the leaves. Specimens with 3-4 leaves.

Note: Due to the generous foliage, some damage may occur during handling or transport.
