Oxalis ‘Sunset Velvet’ (‘Gold’) D5

Oxalis Sunset Velvet is a perennial plant, widespread in Brazil and South Africa.

Light: Prefers bright light, indirect. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can burn the leaves.

Temperature: Ideal temperature is between 18°C and 24°C.

Humidity: Needs moderate humidity. 

Watering: Water moderately, when the substrate is dry on the surface. Excess water can cause root rot.

Soil: Prefers well-drained soil, rich in organic matter.

Fertilization: Fertilize once a month, during the growing period, with a liquid fertilizer for decorative foliage plants.

Pruning: Remove dry and damaged leaves.

Propagation: It can be propagated by dividing bulbs or by seeds.

The leaf shade varies depending on environmental conditions.

Note: Sensitivity to transport: Oxalis is a "dramatic" plant. It is possible that after transport it will arrive with leaves folded or slightly wilted. Don’t worry! Water it a little and place it in the light; it will recover spectacularly within 24-48 hours.

This variety may completely lose its leaves after large temperature fluctuations - but the foliage will regenerate.
