Hoya sp. Zambales is the locality label for the lot. The material also circulates as wayetii mini, kentiana mini, PG04, or EPC-319; it is not Hoya wayetii and it is not Hoya kentiana. The foliage is small, narrow, fleshy, and boat-shaped, while the margins may darken in bright light. Each pot contains 2 or more plants at different stages of development. The flowers are small and burgundy, with a yellow-orange corona. They are fragrant. Flowering depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions.

Foliage. The leaves are short, narrow, succulent, and curved like a boat. They are green, sometimes with a darker margin. In bright light, the edging may turn reddish or purplish; this color is not permanent. The growth habit is that of a short, trailing or climbing vine. Vine length varies from one specimen to another.

Flowers and fragrance. The gallery shows small umbels with burgundy flowers and a yellow-orange corona. In cultivation, the fragrance is described as having caramel or butterscotch notes. Its intensity may vary between blooms. Flowering depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions.

Identity. Zambales is a province on Luzon, Philippines. In the absence of a published description, Hoya sp. codes PG04 / PG 04 and EPC-319 are used for the same material. 'wayetii mini' and 'kentiana mini' are nicknames: Hoya wayetii Kloppenb. and Hoya kentiana C.M.Burton are accepted, separate species, also from the Philippines.
