As no primary record from the hybridizer has been identified, the parentage is presented cautiously as horticultural information, not as a definitive botanical fact.

Characteristics. The leaves are fleshy, elongated, and slightly pointed, narrower than those of Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae and similar in length to those of Hoya wayetii. The surface may have fine pubescence, while the margins frequently develop dark shades. In bright light, protected from harsh direct sun, the foliage can change from green to red, burgundy, dark violet, or coppery orange. Color intensity naturally varies depending on light, season, and growing conditions.

The vines have a good growth rate, branch readily, and look particularly attractive in a hanging pot. They can also be trained onto a support as they elongate.

Flowers and fragrance. The waxy flowers are grouped in umbels and are dark red, with yellow corona tips. They are fragrant, with a sweet scent. Flower size and timing depend on the plant's maturity and growing conditions.
