Hoya paziae is an accepted botanical species, described in 1990 by Kloppenburg, native to the Philippines. It is an epiphytic subshrub with an upright, bushy growth habit. The foliage is glossy and dark green; young shoots may be reddish before darkening. Under good growing conditions, umbels with white, finely pubescent, star-shaped flowers and a pink-burgundy corona may appear. The plant is marketed as a fragrant plant. IML 1596 is a collection number, not a synonym. Flowering depends on the maturity of the plant.

Foliage and growth. The leaves are oval, with short tips, glossy and dark green when mature. Young shoots may have a reddish tinge. It has no splash and no variegation.

Flowers and fragrance. The gallery shows white, star-shaped flowers with finely pubescent lobes and a pink-burgundy corona. The buds are white and round. The number of flowers per umbel varies; we do not guarantee 20 flowers or any fixed flowering duration. The fragrance is horticulturally confirmed as sweet. Flowering depends on the maturity of the plant and growing conditions.

Identity. The accepted name is Hoya paziae Kloppenb., published in Fraterna in 1990. Its native range is the Philippines. It has also circulated as Hoya sp. aff. paziae Philippines IML 1596; IML 1596 remains a collection label. The title is unchanged.

Approximate height, including the pot: 30–40 cm. The ceramic pot is not included in the price.
