Hoya kerrii 'Splash'

Hoya kerrii 'Splash' is a cultivar with thick, fleshy, heart-shaped leaves covered in silver splashes. “Splash” refers to the silver pattern on the leaves. The density of the spots varies from one leaf to another. The species is an epiphytic or lithophytic vine, native from Indochina to western Malesia. Under good growing conditions, it produces umbels of fragrant, waxy, cream-brick-gold flowers with abundant nectar. Flowering depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions.

Foliage and growth. The foliage is cordate, thick and glossy, green, with irregular silver splashes on the leaf blade. It was not published in 1810; 1810 is the year of the genus Hoya, not of this species. 'Splash' is the label for the silver pattern. Common names for the species include heart shape hoya, valentine hoya and Sweetheart plant. It is neither the green form nor 'Albomarginata'.
