Gymnocalycium damsii (anisitsii)

Gymnocalycium damsii is a species of cactus native to Argentina and Bolivia. It is a small-sized cactus, having a globular shape and reaching heights of about 5-10 cm with a similar diameter.

The plant is covered with short, stiff spines, which can vary in color from pale yellowish-white to dark brown. The spines are arranged around the cactus body, giving it a prickly appearance.

Gymnocalycium damsii produces small flowers, usually in shades of pink or pink-purple. The flowers appear at the top of the cactus and add a decorative element during the blooming period.

This cactus prefers well-drained soil and direct sunlight. It is adapted to dry conditions and can survive periods of drought. Gymnocalycium damsii is valued in collections of cacti and fleshy plants for its compact shape and delicate flowers.
