Ferocactus glaucescens f. inermis, also known as "glaucus cactus" or "blue-green cactus", is a species of cactus native to the Sonoran desert in Mexico and the United States.

It is recognized for its distinctive color, a bluish or glaucescent green, hence the name of the species and the lack of thorns.

Ferocactus glaucescens f. inermis has a cylindrical and tall solitary stem that can grow up to 60 cm and with a diameter of 15 cm.

Its flowers, which appear at the top of the plant, are yellow and can reach up to 4 cm in diameter. Infructescences are yellow to red-brown.

Ferocactus glaucescens is a resistant plant that prefers well-drained soil and needs moderate sun exposure. It is drought tolerant and can withstand low temperatures if properly protected. This plant is appreciated for its unique shape and color, as well as for its attractive flowers
