Full description and specifications

Echinopsis subdenudata, also known as Easter Lily Cactus, is a succulent plant native to South America. It is appreciated for its attractive appearance and its spectacular flowers.

Echinopsis subdenudata has a globular or slightly elongated, light green body. It can reach a height of 10-15 cm and a diameter of up to 12 cm. The surface of the cactus is covered with short spines, which are usually soft and can vary in color from white to light yellow. During flowering periods, it produces large, tubular flowers, usually white, which are very fragrant and open at night.

Care

  • Light : Echinopsis subdenudata prefers exposure to full or partial sun. Direct sunlight is ideal, but the plant must be protected from the scorching midday sun in very hot areas.
  • Watering : Like most cacti, it requires moderate watering. Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings. In winter, reduce watering to allow the plant to go dormant.
  • Temperature : It tolerates temperatures from temperate to hot, but it is not frost resistant. Temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius can damage the plant.
  • Soil : Use a well-drained soil mix especially for cacti or succulents.
  • Fertilization : Fertilize during the growing season (spring-summer) with a diluted fertilizer specially for cacti.
