Bletilla ochracea - Trädgårdsorkidé

Bletilla ochracea is a species of ground orchid native to China, where it grows in forests, meadows, and along rivers at altitudes between 600 and 2800 meters.

This orchid has green lance-shaped leaves that grow up to 30 cm long, arranged in a fan-like pattern. It produces stems up to 60 cm tall, with several flowers on each stem. The flowers are usually yellow-orange or yellow-brown, with purple-brown spots and stripes and a lighter-colored lip. The flowers have a delicate scent and bloom in early summer (June-July) in the garden.
