Full description and specifications

Alocasia clypeolata - endemic botanical species from the Philippines, published in 1999 by the botanist A.Hay.
Alocasia clypeolata is another interesting species from the Araceae family, native to Southeast Asia. It is also often known as "Alocasia Green Shield" due to the shape of its leaves, which resemble a shield or a pavement. The leaves are usually deep green and have a fleshy texture, often with prominent veins.
This tropical plant prefers a well-drained soil and a high level of humidity. Like other Allocasia, it grows best in strong indirect light conditions, but can tolerate a wide range of light conditions, as long as they are not exposed to strong direct light, which can burn the leaves.
Regarding watering, Alocasia clypeolata prefers the soil to dry a little between waterings, to avoid the risk of root rot. Fertilization is recommended during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer.
Note: Alocasia is a sensitive plant. Therefore, it is possible to receive these plants with some defects on the leaves, but these do not affect the viability of the plant.
Height with pots included approx. 45 cm
