Full description and specifications

Aglaonema is a decorative indoor plant, easy to care for, being tolerant to low light conditions and rare watering.
Native to the Philippines, Aglaonema has decorative, slow-growing leaves that beautify any space. This is one of the few plants that can survive only in the case of fluorescent lighting, being an excellent choice for spaces with low light.
NASA places Aglaonema in the top 10 of plants recognized for its air purifying qualities, due to its ability to remove benzene and formaldehyde from the air.

It is a very popular indoor plant and easy to care for, ideal for beginners. Here are some tips for caring for this plant:

  1. Light : Aglaonema prefers bright indirect light, but can also tolerate low light conditions. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves.

  2. Watering : Watering should be done when the first centimeter of soil is dry to the touch. Avoid excessive watering, which can lead to rotting of the roots.

  3. Humidity : The plant adapts to different levels of humidity, but prefers moderate humidity. Occasional spraying with water can be beneficial, especially in dry air conditions.

  4. Temperature : The ideal temperatures for Aglaonema are between 18-24 degrees Celsius. The plant does not tolerate temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius.

  5. Fertilization : During the growth period (spring and summer), you can use a diluted liquid fertilizer, applied once a month. Suspend fertilization in the cold season.

  6. Soil : A well-drained soil mix is ideal. Many houseplant soil mixes are suitable.

The leaves show variations in colors and shapes.
