Adenium arabicum - desert rose with impressive caudex and exotic flowers

Adenium arabicum is a spectacular species of desert rose, highly valued in succulent and bonsai collections for its thick, sculptural caudex, which stores water and gives it a unique appearance, resembling miniature trunks. The foliage is dark green and glossy, and when mature, the plant produces pink, red, or white flowers, etc., depending on the variety. Compared to Adenium obesum, this species develops a wider and more massive caudex, making it highly sought after by enthusiasts.

• Overwintering: A dormant period at lower temperatures, with minimal watering. During the cold season, the plant completely loses its leaves if the ambient temperature remains below 15°C or if it does not receive sufficient light.

Each specimen is unique in the shape of its caudex and branches, so differences from the presentation images may occur. Adenium is a succulent plant that responds to changes in its environment, transport, lower temperatures, or dormant periods by yellowing and partially shedding its leaves. Plants may be delivered with sparser foliage, imperfect leaves, or partially fallen leaves. These characteristics are normal for the species and do not represent quality defects, as long as the plant’s base/caudex is viable.
